Willa Jean Staggs, 78 of Florence, AL passed away on Saturday, February 16, 2019. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 20, 2019 from 12-1:00 p.m. at Elkins Funeral Home, Florence. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Bobby Walton officiating.

Interment will be in Florence City Cemetery. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Roscoe Staggs; parents, Leo and Maggie Smith; step-mother, Clara White Smith; sister, Teresa Dale; brother, Jimmy Smith. Survivors include her brother, Leo Smith (Diane); sister, Patsy Walton (Bobby), Kay Mardis (Bill), Carol Green (Don), Shelia Oakes (Ricky); a host of nieces, nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the North Alabama Medical Center, Florence Nursing and Rehab, Doctors and staffs, friends and family who cared for her during her illness and many special lady friends with a very special thanks to Martha Kennedy for her dedicated friendship.
