Willia Mae Johnson, 70, Sandusky, departed this life on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, in Stein Hospice Care Center surrounded by her family. Willia was born April 30, 1948 in Silas, Alabama to the late William Frank and Mary Lee (Powe) Johnson. Willia parents relocated to Sandusky in the early 1950’s from Silas, Alabama.

She attended Sandusky City schools and graduated from Sandusky High School with the class of 1966. After graduation she continued gaining higher education to prepare her work with children. Willia was employed by Erie County Children Services for 16 years and Ford Motor Company, Sandusky from 1994 retiring in 2005.

Willia enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, watching television especially Lifetime and crossword puzzles. Willia is survived by her three daughters, Nicole Johnson, Atlanta, GA. , Ericajoi Johnson and Kendra Johnson, both of Sandusky; six grandsons, Samuel Sanders, Atlanta, GA.

, Steve Durrah, Jamai Green, Davon Brown, Issiah Taylor, Jakai Taylor, a granddaughter, Reign Johnson, a great granddaughter, Aubrey Brown, all of Sandusky, OH; five sisters, Cora L. (Robert) Wiggins, Jeanette Harvey, Helen Prophet, all of Sandusky, Pastor Christine ( Pastor Michael) Hopewell of Clermont, Florida, Jayne Tinsley of Louisville, KY, four brothers, William “Wayne” Johnson, and Jeff Moore, both of Sandusky, Ira (Marlene) Johnson, Stone Mountain, Georgia, Andrew Avery, Harvest, Alabama, special brother, Jesse (Cathelean) Brown; brother-in-law, Jimmie Harvey; aunts, Claudia Johnson and Louise Johnson all of Sandusky, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. She was proceeded in death by her parents, William Frank Johnson, July 7, 1937, Mary Lee Johnson, September 25, 2012; brother, Frank “Victor” Johnson, September 23, 2001; sister, Priscilla Johnson in 2004; brother–in-law, Robert Tinsley, April 4, 2018; niece, Tamara Williams, May 30, 2018; and great grandson, Jamai Green Jr. December 1, 2018. Friends may call on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 5-7 P.M. in Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave.

, Sandusky. The body will lie in state from 10 A.M. until time of funeral services at 12 P.M. Noon on Tuesday in New Jerusalem Baptist Church, 1920 Eddy Henry Way, Sandusky. Rev.

Curtis L. Johnson Jr. will officiate. Burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
