HOLLAND, MA – William A. May, 81, of Holland, died Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Hospice at The Overlook, Charlton, with his wife Joanne by his side. He was the son of William E. and Mary E. (White) May. He leaves his wife of 56 years – the Love of his life, Joanne T. (Bruneau) May.

He also leaves a son William May and his wife Coleen, three grandchildren, Joshua and his wife Brittany, Zachary, and Melanie, who brightened his life every time he spent time with them. He also leaves a brother Charles May of Tamarac, Florida. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Susan I. May.

Bill retired from Morgan Construction Company after 34 years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Holland Rod & Gun Club and the Nipmuck Trail Riders Snowmobile Club.

His hobbies were landscaping, snowmobiling, and stained glass. Bill was also a motor sports enthusiast and raced cars at the Westboro Speedway in the 60’s. He also built his own dune buggy.

At his request, burial will be private. Bill struggled with Crohn’s Disease for many years, and his family suggests that contributions in his name be made to the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation, National Processing Center, Attn: Honor and Memorial Gifts, PO Box 1245, Albert Lea, MN 56007.
