OBITUARY William “Billy” Anthony Kumberger III August 19, 1972 – August 27, 2018 William Anthony Kumberger III (Billy), 46, passed away with family by his side on Monday, August 27, 2018, at Honor Health-Shea Medical Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. Billy is survived by his brothers: Jason Meadows and Bryan Kumberger; and his sisters: Kimberly Rinaldi, Robyn Sharpe, and Jacqueline Mandic. Billy is also survived by his father, William Anthony Kumberger II and his mother, Beverly Gural Sharpe.

Billy was born in Englewood, New Jersey on August 19, 1972 and graduated from Teaneck High School in June of 1990. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. in 1991 and served four years of active duty.

His tour of duty included Operation Restore Hope in Somalia and, while stationed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, he contended with the Haitian refugee crisis. Upon his honorable discharge in 1995, he transferred to the Marine Corps Reserves and remained on active duty recall until 1999. After his separation from service, he attended and graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, in August 2003.

He received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences. Billy went on to start his own company, Ziran Tech, LLC, providing his knowledge and expertise as an Independent Software Consultant to numerous companies, most recently at Ready Logistics in Phoenix, Arizona, where he was highly regarded and admired among his co-workers and supervisors. Throughout his life, Billy was devoted to helping others.

To commemorate his life, a memorial will be held at Becker Funeral Home, 219 Kinderkamack Road, Westwood, NJ on Sunday, September 30 from 1-4PM.
