WILLIAM “BILL” BOWERS Bill Bowers, age 93 of Nottingham Township in Washington County, Pennsylvania died on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was born, William Douglas Bowers, on June 12, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania a son of Harry Bowers and Ramie (Troxell) Bowers. He served in the US Navy during WW II and retired after working 35 years for US Steel in the Homestead Works, Homestead, Pennsylvania.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Vincent and brother, Charles Bowers. Bill is the loving father of Terri (Doug) Hartman and Marla (Ernie) Stevens; step father of Beverly McCurry; grandfather of Lisa Runco, James Hartman and Ernest (Lynn) Stevens; great grandfather of Lillie Brown, Emma and Ernest Stevens. Friends will be received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM on Friday, December 21, 2018 in the Stephen D. Slater Funeral Home, 1701 Route 51, in Large, Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania 412-384-0350.
