WILLIAM’s Obituary William Charles Vitolo, 80, died Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital in Vero Beach. He leaves behind his daughter, Julia (Steve Mitchell) Vitolo of Vero Beach, FL, son William (Traci) Malik of Odessa, FL, sister Florence Hessen Scher of Wellington, FL, grandson Aidan Franklyn Vitolo of Vero Beach, FL, and granddaughter Haley Jean Malik of Odessa, FL. Born in Newark, New Jersey, he spent most of his life a resident of New York.

He proudly served his country in the Army as an Army Ranger Airborne. Following service he moved back to New York and became a well known and respected hairdresser in the New York community. When his mother and father moved to Florida he decided to move here too.

He then opened William Charles & Co in Vero Beach. Over the years his expertise and reputation led him to be one of the best and most well known hairdressers in the area. William had many interests that he loved that included weight lifting and body building, riding his motorcycle, and watching the New York Jets.

Full of love for his family, he was always there to share a joke, give advice or just be there to listen, and he always had his kids back. He especially was so very proud of and loved his grandkids Aidan and Haley. Memorial Contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 The family will receive friends 12 – 2 PM, Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach with a memorial service celebrating his life beginning at 2 PM.
