OBITUARY William D. Stoker April 28, 1914 – January 13, 2019 William D. Stoker, age 104, WWII Navy Veteran, passed away January 13, 2019. William was born April 28, 1914 in Powersville, Missouri to William C. and Dora Stoker. From an early age, a good work ethic was instilled in William.

He was raised on a farm and worked both food and dairy farms until he moved away from home. He was hardworking and would not hesitate to help family, neighbors, and friends in their times of need. As a steadfast provider for his family, he worked diligently throughout his life.

He worked for R.E.A., bringing electricity to western rural areas in the 1930’s; Boeing, as a modification mechanic retiring after 20 years; and for the Sedgwick Co. Zoo, serving for 10 years and wiring the initial phase of the zoo. He was a skilled carpenter and could build just about anything. William was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Stoker; and second wife, Corrine Stoker; son, Wayne Allen Stoker Sr; brother, Holly; sisters, Floy, Greta and Wilma; and grandson, Jeffrey Stoker. He is survived by daughter, Karen Willis; grandchildren, Jon Willis, Scott Willis, Keith Willis, Sheryl (Bob) Bachman, Brad (Anita) Stoker, Steve (Mary) Stoker, and Allen Stoker Jr; 5 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. His visitation will be from 6-8pm, Wednesday, January 16, 2019, with Funeral service 3:00 pm, Thursday, January 17, 2019, both held at Resthaven Mortuary, 11800 W. Hwy 54, Wichita, KS 67209.

FAMILY Karen Willis, Daughter Jon Willis, Grandchild Scott Willis, Grandchild Keith Willis, Grandchild Sheryl (Bob) Bachman, Grandchild Brad (Anita) Stoker, Grandchild Steve (Mary) Stoker, Grandchild Allen Stoker Jr., Grandchild Edna Stoker, First Wife Corrine Stoker, Second Wife Wayne Allen Stoker Sr., Son Holly Stoker, Brother Floy Stoker, Sister Greta Stoker, Sister Wilma Stoker, Sister Jeffrey Stoker, Grandchild William also leaves behind five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.
