He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Radcliff Hearndon and Myrtle Roselee Waltman Hearndon, and daughter-in-law, Mary Dunn Hearndon. He is survived by his loving wife, Nellie Mae Ellis Hearndon, and his children, Thomas Ratcliff Hearndon, William Arnold Hearndon (Evelyn Banks), Frances Roselee Boisclair (Charles Boisclair), Cynthia Marlene Seibert (William Seibert), Marina Claudette Brossett (Paul Brossett), and Jonathan Ray Hearndon (Juliet Bilbo).

Multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Brothers and sisters, Ina Mason, Merley Hearndon, Shirley Hearndon, Carl Hearndon, and Leon Hearndon. In his own words: “I’ve gone fishing with Mom and Dad.
