Bill was a kind and gentle man who was guided by a caring heart. He enjoyed community service in his retirement and gave back by volunteering at his church’s food pantry and by helping distribute groceries to residents in his apartment, the Plaza Towers. Bill was always available for a laugh and if you were lucky enough, he would share his infamous chocolate stash with you.

The family will receive friends and family for visitation on Saturday January 12th at Oak Park Hills Funeral Chapel in Walnut Creek, beginning at 2:30pm. Bill’s interment of ashes will take place at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery on Thursday, January 17th at 11am with full military funeral honors. His Celebration of Life memorial services will be on Saturday, January 19th at 11am at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Concord First Ward.

The family requests flowers be sent to the church for his memorial. Donations may be made in Bill’s name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
