OBITUARY William Edward Malcolm February 17, 1935 – November 28, 2018 Play Tribute Movie William Edward Malcom aka “Wild Bill” of Spring Lake, passed away on November 28, 2018. Born on February 17, 1935 in Grand Rapids. Survived by his wife of 29 years Colleen, son Jeff Malcolm, daughter Julie Smith, daughter Patti (Todd) Johnson and son Michael (Jen) Malcolm, step children; David (Carol) Martin, Rick (Connie) Martin, Bill Martin, 8 grandkids and 3 great-grandkids.

Also survived by sisters; Carol Marshall (Paul) Hastings, Sue McNitt and Jean Mosher, brothers; Jim (Cathelyn) Barnoske and Fred (Lisa) Barnoske. Preceded in death by his mother Agnes Forbes, brother Jack Barnoske and brother in law Albert Marshall. Bill was a proud Army Veteran of the Korean War.

He owned Arrow Crane Service as an “Erection Specialist” for 49 years. He was also a Co-owner of Northview Dry Cleaners which he built with his brother in law Albert Marshall. Wild Bill, as he was known to his friends, considered himself a JaMerican, having traveled to Jamaica for 28 consecutive years.

He was an avid drummer. Wild Bill threw 6 Giant Beer, Brats and Blues Blast parties. He was an outdoorsman who loved boating and the water.

Bill loved Jesus and was a proud American, most of all he loved his family. He was a strong presence who will be dearly missed. Memorial Visitation for Bill will be on Friday December 7, 2018 from 1 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 3 p.m. at Reyers North Valley Chapel Funeral Home.

Military honors will be accorded to Bill by the Kent County Honor Guard and the U.S. Army. Family requests donations be made to Alzheimers Association.
