Mr. William Gordon Wilson, age 76, of Quitman, Arkansas passed away February 27, 2019 at Unity Health Hospital in Searcy, Arkansas. Born October 28, 1942 in Worcester, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late William Shepard and Grace Elizabeth Lingard Wilson. He was a 25-year veteran of the US Air Force traveling all over the world and participating in air rescue which he loved doing.

William loved to study the Bible and was a faithful Christian man. He enjoyed fishing and dearly loved his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law Mac Loman Graham; his brother, Steve Wilson; son-in-law, Alan Schmidt and his grandchild, Joseph Harper Burkhead.

Survivors include his wife, Jannie, the love of his life, whom he married February 26, 1993; daughter, Debbie, son, Dwayne (Tiffani), daughter, Denise; his son, Daniel; his son, Dustin (Sarah); his son, Adam (Shawnna) and his baby girl, Rebekah; his brothers, John and Ricky; his ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Adam Burkhead, Dustin Burkhead, Daniel Wilson, Keith Schmidt, Chris Schmidt and Daniel Graham. Honorary pallbearers will be Victoria Wilson, Preston Wilson, Chase Wilson, Peyton Wilson, Lily Burkhead, Brayden Burkhead, Madison Burkhead, Brody Burkhead, Kinley Schmidt and Kelsi Schmidt.

Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Heber Springs Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Monday, March 4, 2019 at Sardis Church, 4141 Hwy 124 East, Damascus, Arkansas. Interment will be in Grissard Cemetery in El Paso, Arkansas.
