OBITUARY William Grant Smallwood, Sr. October 9, 1940 – November 15, 2018 Play Tribute Movie William Grant “Bill” Smallwood, Sr., age 78, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 9, 1940 in Evarts, Kentucky to James P. and Martha A. (Shockley) Smallwood. In the early 1950’s he and his family moved to Michigan.

He was a production line worker holding many different job titles for General Motors. In addition, he owned his own business: B & D Small Engine Repair in Hamburg, Michigan. He was an avid golfer, and loved going to auctions.

He was a member of the Whitmore Lake Rod & Gun Club. Most importantly, he was a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his children, Janet (Dennis) Reese, William G. Smallwood, Jr. Jennifer (Thomas) Green and Theresa (Kurt) Kimberly.

Eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be on Tuesday – November 20, 2018 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Hosmer-Muehlig Funeral Chapel 3410 Broad Street, Dexter, Michigan 48130. On the following day, Wednesday – November 21, guests may visit from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:30 p.m. Interment will immediately follow the service at Washtenong Memorial Park.
