William “Bill” Greenham of North Port, Florida, passed away on Monday, April 17th at the age of 90 due to complications with his health. Bill was born on August 27th, 1926 to William Greenham Sr. and Myrtle (Gray) Greenham in Hackettstown, New Jersey. He was a WWII veteran serving in the Navy.

His true passions were flying and driving. Bill drove countless miles across the country as a commercial bus driver and loved to tell everyone stories of the people he encountered along the way. Later in life, Bill volunteered with the North Port Police Department for over 10 years, where he touched the lives of so many in the community.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mildred (Bellavance); his son, Donald Greenham and wife, Eileen (Deering) of New Jersey; daughter, Beverly (Greenham) Klein and husband Frank Klein of Pennsylvania; granddaughters, Cassandra Dean, Diana Klein & Olivia Klein of Pennsylvania; and great-grandchildren, Lannon, Owen, and Lillian along with nephew, Bob Fowler of Washington; niece, Carol (Greenham) Victory of Indiana. He is predeceased by his brother, John, sister, Marie, and sister, Evelyn all of New Jersey; and niece, Diane (Greenham) Bennett of Texas. Bill’s contagious smile and witty personality will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him.

A mass will be held in his honor on Thursday, April 20, 10:00 a.m. at San Pedro Catholic Church in the chapel, North Port, FL. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 24, at 1:30 p.m. at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL. Donations can be made to the Shriner’s Hospital of Tampa or San Pedro’s Children’s Programs in lieu of flowers.
