William Hayes Hathaway passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018. The son of Leslie H. and Yvonne (McGill) Hathaway, he was born in Northampton on March 25, 1945. He was a graduate of Arms Academy class of 1963.

He was married to Gail Snow of Westfield in 1965. He owned and operated Hathaway Logging for many years. He was a long time member of the Monadnock Sportsmen’s Association and was a member of various Beagle clubs.

In his youth he was a member of 4-H and showed Milking Shorthorn cattle. Later in life he owned several pair of oxen as well as Plott and Walker hounds. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters and their husbands; Karen and Jeffrey Wells of Wallkill, NY and Lorraine and James St. Onge of West Springfield, as well as his granddaughters Elizabeth Wells of Boston and Katherine Wells of Newburgh, NY.

Bill was predeceased by his parents and his sister Ellen Aiston. At Bill’s request, burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
