OBITUARY William H Longenecker Jr. March 7, 1932 – July 21, 2018 William H. Longenecker, Jr., 86, of Schaefferstown, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018 in the Wellspan Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon. He was the husband of Doris Wike Longenecker with whom he was married to for 68 years. He was born in Lebanon on March 7, 1932, a son of the late William H. Longenecker, Sr. and Dorothy Swanger Longenecker.

Bill was sales manager for Ma’s Rootbeer in Lebanon for many years and retired from A-Treat Beverage in Reading. He served as tax collector for Heidelberg Township and was chairman of Heidelberg Township Water Authority for many years. He also served as manager of Washington Court in Myerstown.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Terry L. Longenecker (Susan) of Lebanon; Michael G. Longenecker of Schaefferstown; Wendy S. Seager (James) of Richland; William H. Longenecker, III (Rochelle) of Stephens City, VA; grandchildren, Mark Longenecker (Wendi); Brad Longenecker (Emmily); Matthew Longenecker (Tisha); Jason Seager (Andrea); Danielle Lowry (Jonathan); Rebecca McDonald (Hunter); William H. Longenecker, IV (Brittany); Brenna Long; great grandchildren, Ella, Jack, Maci, Chase, Tristan and Kayla Longenecker; Samantha, Ryan and Kyle Seager; brothers, Gary Longenecker (Kathy) of Jonestown; Richard Longenecker (Laura) of MO; sisters, Patricia Behm of Lebanon; Cindy Heisey (Stephen) of Myerstown. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Longenecker. Services will be held privately.
