William “Bill” James, 63, of Paducah passed away on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah with his family by his side. Mr. James worked for The Home Depot and formerly worked for VMV Railroad Shop. He was a member of Grace Fellowship Church.

He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a U.S. National Air Guard member. In his spare time, he enjoyed photography, watching sports and movies, listening to music, and writing poetry. Surviving is his wife of 30 years, Sue James of Paducah; three children, Ron (Theresa) Davis, Joe Davis, Analeigh Nichole James all of Paducah; his mother, Minnie Jo James of LaCenter; one sister, Benita (Kenneth) Meadows of Ledbetter; six grandchildren, Zachary (Bethany) Lichliter of Cape Girardeau, Tyler (Daphne) Smith of Symsonia, Marcus Davis of Norfolk, NE, Ronnie (Gladis) Davis of Norfolk, NE, Austin Wecker of NE, Mark (Lexie) Reams of Paducah; five great-granddaughters; and two great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Frank James. Memorial services with military honors will be at 5:00pm on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Lindsey Funeral Home with the Revs. Kevin Gaunce and Todd Hawkins officiating.

Friends may visit the family from 2:00pm to service hour on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Mercy Health Hospice for the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center at P.O. Box 7100 Paducah, KY 42002. Online condolences may be left at www.
