William L. Lambacher, Sr. William L. Lambacher, Sr. passed away on November 13, 2018 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases. Will was born in Akron, Ohio on November 23, 1933, to Veronica and William Carl Lambacher. After graduating from North High School, Will served in the Marine Corp from 1954-1958.

Shortly after his discharge from The Marines, Will met the love of his life, Kathryn Pfromm. They married on May 14, 1960, and made their home in Cuyahoga Falls. Will was employed by the Ford Motor Company as a tool and diemaker from 1955 until he retired in 1994.

Upon his retirement from Ford, Will became “Baba” to the luckiest four grandchildren in the world. He loved them with everything he had and that love was returned in kind. Will leaves to mourn him his wife of 58 years, Kathy; his sons, William Jr. (Mary Anne Felker) of Cuyahoga Falls and Mark (Lisa) of Tallmadge; his beloved grandchildren, Paul Lambacher, Dana Binkley (Nick); and Maureen and Rose Lambacher; and his two great-granddaughters, Willow Lambacher and Ava Binkley.

He also leaves behind his sister, Jean Halloran of Kansas City and brother, Edward Lambacher (Rita) of Akron and many nieces and nephews; special cousins, Charlie and Marie Deem and Tom and Billie Deem. He was also preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Clarence and Anne Pfromm; his brother-in-law, Jim Halloran and sister-in-law Barbara Ess. Calling hours will be at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 810 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, on Friday, November 16 from 4-8 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 17 at 10 am at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Cuyahoga Falls with burial at Holy Cross Cemetary. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Altar and Society in c/o St. Joseph’s Church, or to St. Joseph Parish, 214 Falls Ave. Cuyahoga Falls, Oh.

Special thanks to the kind staff at Bath Creek Estates Health and Rehabilitation Center for the care Will received there for the last two and half years, and the caring aids of Crossroads Hospice Care who were with us during Will’s final hours. Will and Kathy always found strength in the song “The Wind Beneath My Wings” since it described their devoted relationship.

Will was not only a gentleman but a Gentle Man and will be missed by all who knew him.
