William Neal Waller, 85, of Jacksonville went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Saturday, February16, 2019, joining his wife of 56 years, Geraldean “Mimi” Waller who preceded him in death in October of 2009. Bill was born January 10, 1934, in Jacksonville, Arkansas. “Papa” was preceded in death by his parents Guy A. Waller and Ella L. Waller; his spouse Geraldean Waller; and sister, Jessie Waller McElroy.
Papa is survived by two brothers, Verlin Waller, and Jimmy Waller and his wife Carolyn; one sister, Ann Uhrich and her husband, Norman; his son Randy Waller and wife Martha; five grandchildren, Kimberly (Waller) Lacy and her husband Chris, Chad Waller and his wife Christi, and Victoria Torres, John Franks and his wife Brianne, and Phillip Franks and his wife Leslie; and four great grandchildren, Ella Kate Lacy, Emma Claire Lacy, Emily Franks and Olivia Franks. Papa attended New Life Church in Cabot, Arkansas. Papa retired from the family auto parts and car sales business located in Jacksonville, which he owned and operated with the help of family for over 25 years.
Papa was a committed and dedicated father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Recently, Papa celebrated his 85th birthday in the presence of many immediate and distant family members, as well as lifelong friends. There will be a visitation at Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home located at 7700 Highway 107, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 19.
The funeral service will be held at the Smith-Sherwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 20, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Jacksonville following the conclusion of the funeral service.
