William Patrick Dineen July 08, 1958 – December 27, 2018 Share this obituary Local Florists View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card William Patrick Dineen, of Oakfield, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 27, 2018. William “Bill” was born on July 8, 1958, the first son of Thomas and Helen (Hoffmann) Dineen. Bill was employed at Alliant Energy for 34 years, where he was a very dedicated employee, always looking forward to spending time with his co-workers.

Bill’s real passion was working in his shop, restoring antiques and building furniture where he made many lasting friendships. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially at the cabin with his brothers. Bill had a great sense of humor and loved playing jokes on his co-workers, nieces and nephews.

Bill married Tina Strook on October 27, 1990, at St. James Church in Oakfield. In Bill’s words, “His greatest accomplishment in life was their daughter, Jennifer”. He served on the church council, building and grounds committee and also served as an usher.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his father-in-law, Dale Strook; aunts and uncles. Bill leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Tina of Oakfield; daughter, Jennifer Dineen of Wauwatosa; mother-in-law, Barb Strook of Oakfield; his siblings, Ann (Tom) Rosenthal of Wausau, Louise (Zeljko-Jon) Medved of Salida, CO, Susan Dineen (Stephen Barone) of Madison, Robert (Sue) Dineen of Fond du Lac, Charles (Cindy) Dineen of Brownsville, Paul Dineen of Oakfield, John (Kim) Dineen of Brownsville and Tom M. Dineen of Oakfield; a special cousin and friend, Mark (Dalene) Thompson of Sun Prairie; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends at St. James Church, 101 North Main Street, Oakfield, on Friday, January 4, 2019, from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. with service at 11:00 A.M. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice Home of Hope in Fond du Lac for the great care and compassion given to Bill and his family.
