William R. Achorn born to the late William Henry and Grace L. in Cambridge, on 10/22/23, deceased 9/05/2018,. Predeceased by his wife Sylvia Green Achorn in 1990. Survived by his sister Marjorie Doyle of Malden, many nieces and nephew and his loving friend and companion of 28 years H. Claire Riley of Reading, formally of Belmont.

Bill was raised in Cambridge and Graduated from Cambridge High and Latin School. Bill served in the Army during W.W. II overseas and was a lifelong member of The Waverly Post 1272 Belmont. Bill retired from the Riverside Press, Cambridge.

A visitation will be held in the Brown & Hickey Funeral Home 36 Trapelo Road Belmont on Wednesday Aug. 12 from 10:00 – 11:30 Am. Followed by a funeral home service at 11:30 Am.

Relatives and friends invited. Interment Belmont Cemetery, Belmont.
