Obituary for William Walter “Bill” Swift Our beloved Brother, William ((Billy) W. Swift, age 48, of Walworth Wi. , Unexpectedly passed away, on Sunday, December 2, 2018, in Darien Wi. He was born in Cook County, IL.
on March 6, 1970 to Ralph Elliott and Sharon Patricia (Thelienhouse) Swift. William is survived by sisters Dawn Sadlowski (Scott) of Manteca, CA. , Sherry Oja (Bob) of Walworth, Wi.
, brother Raymond Swift (Susan) of Delavan, Wi. , baby sister Giulia Morales of Delavan, Wi and special companion, Buddy. William may not have had his own children, he however loved his Nieces and Nephews, Jason (Monica) Sadlowski of Manteca, CA.
, Terri-lynn Sadlowski of Manteca, CA. Steve (Jessica) Oja, Michael Oja, Andy (Kim) Oja, Katie Oja, Elisha (David) Pagan of Grayslake. Ronald (Latrisha) Paulson of Walworth, Wi.
Tara Karpp of Round Lake Beach Il, Romeo, Mateo, Bianca, Isabella, Mariah & Emilio Morales of Delevan, WI. , as his very own children and had much to do with their upbringings. William’s memory will be passed down too many second nieces and nephews who loved him so much.
William is preceded in death by his loving father, Ralph E. Swift, his beautiful mother Sharon P. Swift and his grandmother Rosa M. DeMarco. William would light the room with one flash of those pearly whites. His smile could be seen across a football field.
Christmas Eve on Wildwood, we all knew Billy was the present passer. William respected his roots and elders. He always made sure to kiss everyone he graced his presence with.
William was a well-known Swift. He loved to be outdoors in the sunshine on his boat in the water, however he could handle the snow like he was made for winter. He would head up North with his snowmobile in tow and ride the trails until dawn then head back to get the fire going for all who gathered there.
Raised by two of the most amazing people, who instilled into him how to be a generous soul. He would give anyone the shirt off his back, as that is what his mother and father had taught him, and he passed on to everyone he met. Billy has gifted life to over 15 others amongst his tragic passing by being an organ donor.
Billy will live on. William was a professional roofer by trade. That saying, “When you’re good, you’re good”, was certainly his motto when it came to his work ethic.
No project too big or to small, he would finish it like it was his prized possession. William owned Swift Roofing for many years with his Brother Raymond. He made hundreds of friends and always kept in touch with lifelong friends.
If you are one of those lucky people you can relate with these words written. He referred to some of them as Billy’s brothers of the heart, Joe Kmiecik, Eric Hines, Bret Bushey, Brian Langkamp and Eric Villard although there are so many more. We look at John 15:13 King James Version (KJV) 13 “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends”.
As we feel in our hearts, Bill has and always lived by this. When tragedy hits one you know, one you love, you tend to remember more and more times and memories you cherished with them. We take for granted while we are In the Living Years.
In honor of William, the Swift family asks that you reach out to those you love. William ( Billy ) Swift loved by so many, taken way to soon. Services will be held December 9, 2018, at Betzer Funeral home, from 2 O’ Clock through and until 5’O Clock.
A gathering is to follow at the American Legion across the street. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Williams Go Fund me page. As you can imagine our family was not prepared for such a tragic event to occur.
