Obituary of William Robinson William A. Robinson of Rochester passed away on June 11, 2018. Bill was born on October 8, 1933 to Archbald and May Robinson. He graduated from the Allendale School for Boys in 1951 and went on to earn his Bachelor degree from the University of Rochester in 1955.

Following his completion of the Navy ROTC program, he was stationed in Japan before being honorably discharged as a Second Lieutenant in 1958. Bill spent his career at Eastman Kodak, rising to manage Health, Safety, and Security at Kodak Office before retiring in 1985. He has been an active volunteer all his life, ranging from the Boy Scouts of America to driving for a Motor Medical.

Bill had a lifelog love of the outdoors, starting with his high school summers spent as a canoe counselor in the Adirondacks. He enjoyed taking his family camping and canoeing there, and seemed to know every ice cream stand in the park. If his prowess as a golfer was less than perfect, it wasn’t from lack of effort.

He enjoyed nature photography as well as candid informal shots. While his wife Pat excelled as a social organizer and party planner, Bill relished his role as the life of every party. He enjoyed breakfasts with his neighbors from Clarkes Crossing, hanging out by the pool in Shadow Pines and hot tub in Ocean Gallery St. Augustine Florida, and dinners with his friends at Valley Manor.

Bill is predeceased by his parents Archbald and May (Wright) Robinson, his wife Patricia (Cowan) Robinson, his sisters Barbara (Robinson) Gleason and (May) Bunty (Robinson) Carlson, and his brother John Robinson. He is survived by his three children Lawrence (Marcie Lucas) Robinson, Alice Robinson, and Tracy (Stephen) Kane, and his three grandchildren Eli Robinson, Lauren Kane, and Edward Kane. Friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of his life this Saturday, June 16, from 3:00 to 5:00 at Valley Manor, 1570 East Avenue.
