Greensboro Willie Lee Washington Plummer was born to Willie Washington and Leola B. Washington on May 16, 1924. She transitioned to her heavenly home on April 7, 2018. Before she was school age, her parents moved to New Orleans, LA.

She attended school at McDonough #6, J. W. Hoffman Jr. High and graduated from McDonough Sr. High School. She worked at Baptist Hospital and attended Dillard University where she met her husband, Berkes C. T. Plummer, Sr They were married on July 15, 1949 and were the parents of four sons.

During the rearing of her children she attended Xavier University, meditating a certificate to teach. She taught at Hume Center for twenty-five years. Willie touched many lives because she taught and worked with young children.

When she retired, she devoted her time to her children and her husband. Willie became a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Greensboro, NC, with the Rev. Tony VanCura, Pastor after Katrina.

She often spoke of the phone calls and visits she would get from her Pastor and members at her home; she loved her church family. In addition to her parents, Willie was preceded in death by her son, Berkes C. T. Plummer, Jr. June 28, 2008, and by her devoted husband Berkes C. T. Plummer Sr., on February 25, 2012. She is survived by her devoted sons, Eric J. Plummer (Judi K.) Greensboro, NC, Dr. Rodney K. Plummer, New Orleans, LA, Rev.

Robin F. Plummer (Teresa B.) Raleigh, NC; daughter-in-law, Camille D. Plummer of Summerville, SC; sister-in-law, Lucille Stukes of Denton, Texas, and a devoted cousin, Mamie C. Henry of Los Angeles, CA. Willie has 15 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at First Baptist Church of Trinity, 12504 Trinity Road, Trinity, North Carolina at 11:30 a.m. in the morning.

Entombment will follow at Floral Gardens Memorial Park, High Point. The family will receive visitors and friends at the church on Saturday, 11:00 am to 11:30 a.m..
