Willodean Burden Stinson, 79, wife of Wildon Stinson, of Abbeville, died Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at the Hospice House in Greenwood. She was born in Moulton, AL to the late Cobie and Janie Collier Burden. Mrs. Stinson retired from Health Related Home Care as a Certified Nursing Assistant having capably served for many years.

She was a longtime member of South Side Baptist Church where she previously taught Sunday School. In her spare time, Mrs. Stinson enjoyed gardening with her husband. Reading and cross-stitching were also favorite pastimes.

She will be remembered as a loving mother to her five children. Willodean spoke often of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, happily sharing events in their lives. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Shelby Burden.

Mrs. Stinson is survived by her husband of 59 years, Wildon, of the home; four daughters, Lori Davis (Marcus) of Live Oak, FL, Shelby Bishop (Barney) of Tallahassee, FL, Pamela Crabb (Michael) of Ocoee, FL, Michelle Williams (Calton) of Melrose, FL; a son, Michael Stinson (Michelle) of Milwaukee, WI; a brother, Marlin Burden (Melody), of Montverde, FL; two sisters, Stella Bradley (Martin) of West Plains, MO and Janet Davis (Daniel) of Montverde, FL; fifteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. A service to celebrate Willodean’s life will be announced at a later date. Memorial contributions, in memory of Mrs. Stinson, may be sent to South Side Baptist Church, 505 W. Greenwood St., Abbeville, SC 29620 or to HospiceCare of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave.
