Wilma’s Obituary Wilma Florence Bowen Rose,85, resident of DeMossville, KY, passed away Tuesday January 22, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Florence, after a brief illness. Born October 8, 1933 in Pendleton Co., KY, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Alfred and Clarice Thelma Blades Bowen. Wilma was a retired school bus driver for Pendleton County Board of Education, where she drove for many years.

She was an energetic, vivacious lady, that loved being active; she was involved in many activities, everything of which centered around her love for her family. She was a member of Dry Ridge Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Fred Rose and the father of her children, Ernest R. “Doodle” Bobb.

Survivors include three daughters: Beverly (Marvin) Davis, Kathy (Jeff) Banfield, both of Pendleton County and Linda (Darren) Justice of Grant County, along with five grandchildren: Scott Davis, Andrew Justice, Matt Davis, Luke Banfield and Madison Justice. Seven great-grandchildren also survive: Clarissa, Tanner, Carter, Mason, Braden, Bailey and Miller. Three step-daughters also survive: Beth, Melinda and Sandy; Nancy has preceded Wilma in death.

Honorable recognition is given to her special friends, Paul and Tonya. Lastly, she will be missed by her two cats, Blackie and Spotty Boots. Visitation will be Sunday January 27, 2019 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Stanley Funeral Homes, Williamstown location.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning at 11:00 with Rev. Brandon Burks officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery in Pendleton County.

A fellowship meal will be held following the internment at Dry Ridge Baptist Church. Memorial contributions may be made in Wilma’s memory to Dry Ridge Baptist Church – Building Fund. Serving as pallbearers are: Andrew Justice, Matt Davis, Scott Davis, Luke Banfield, Matt Dressman, Paul Atkins and Tanner Davis: Honorary Pallbearers will be: Darren Justice, Jeff Banfield and Marvin Davis.
