Obituary for ADA DEATON AMBURGEY AMBURGEY, Ada Deaton, age 96, of Middletown, Ohio passed away on November 25, 2018. She was born February 5, 1922 in Altro, Kentucky. A graduate of Middletown High School in 1940, she was employed with J. L. Hudson Stores in Detroit, Michigan, Cincinnati Bell Telephone, retiring from the Middletown Credit Bureau and becoming a supreme grandmother.

Ada loved her many roles with the Stratford Heights Church of God where she was an active member for many years. Preceding her in death were her parents, Alfred L. and Ida Mae Deaton; her husband, Russell C. Amburgey, Sr., in 1956; brothers, John Deaton, Elbert and Francis Raleigh; and sister and brother-in-law, Alma and Forest Weaver. She is survived by two children, Russell C. and Christopher K. (Fran) Amburgey, three grandchildren, Kurt and Kristen Amburgey and Kathryn (Rodney) Gray; great grandchildren, Lillian and Charles Gray; brother, J.B. Deaton; two beloved nephews, Jay Hatch and Jonathan Weaver; niece, Jenny Deaton and special friends, Thelma and Bobby Napier.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Stratford Height Church of God, 4419 Nelson Road, Middletown, followed by services at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Ray C. Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Woodside Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care of Middletown, 3909 Central Ave.
