Vidmar May 31, 1913 – February 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Ada O Vidmar, 105 of Taylorville, passed away at 8:36a.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 in Taylorville Care Center. She was born on May 31, 1913 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Domenic and Mary (Costa) Pacioni. She married Edward Vidmar on September 23, 1944 in Taylorville.

He preceded her in death on February 27, 1996. Ada retired from the Sangamon Card Company where she worked for many years. She also previously worked at the old St. Vincent Memorial Hospital located on south Walnut St. She was a member of the St. Vincent Hospital Auxiliary and St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

She was also a member of the VFW and Moose Lodge and enjoyed playing Bingo and cards with her friends. She is survived by her daughter: Mary F. Duckworth (Michael) of Tovey; granddaughter: Suzi Gay (Todd) of Springfield; great-grandchildren: Jett Gay of Springfield and Zoey Gay of Denver, Colorado; and sister-in-law: Laura Pacioni of Taylorville. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers: Attilio Pacioni and Nello Pacioni.

A funeral mass for Ada will be held at 1p.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville with Monsignor David Lantz officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Taylorville.

McClure Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Taylorville is assisting the family with arrangements.
