Adela H. Damrow, age 94, passed into the arms of her loving Saviour at Sheboygan Progressive Care center, where she had been a patient the last three weeks, Monday October 15, 2018. She was born July 29, 1924 in the town of Herman, a daughter of the late Oscar and Anna (Werthman) Heusterberg. Adela graduated from Howards Grove High School, class of 1940.

Adrian and Adela bought the Edgewood Restaurant in Howards Grove in 1967, later building the Edgewood Motel on the same property.

In 1973, Adrian and Adela sold the restaurant to their son, Robert, later selling the Motel in 1983. They then moved to Pickerel Lake, where they lived until moving back to Howards Grove in 1995. She was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove.

An avid Brewers fan, Adela loved watching the games. She enjoyed Reading, and assembling puzzles. Her Family was most important to her, and she treasured all the time she spent with her Grandchildren and Great-grandchildren.

Adela had a kind heart, a warm smile, and will be greatly missed by all those whose life she touched. She is survived by two sons; Tom (Penny) of Howards Grove and William (Shirley) of Athens MI; grandchildren; Tom R. (Stephanie), Brett (Carrie), Anna Marie (Jason) Bramstedt, Travis (Lynda), Tracy (Chris) Roth, Dan Everett, Rhonda (Dan) Fellenz, Chad (Peggy) Block and Stacey Block (special friend Mike), her daughter-in-law Linda Drexler, one sister; Evelyn Sprenger, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Adrian, and her parents, Adela was also preceded in death by a son, Robert Damrow, one brother, Frederick Heusterberg, two sisters; Verna Groene and Ruby Schomberg, and a sister-in-law Esther Heusterberg.

A funeral service will be conducted for Adela on Friday, October 19th, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Zimmer’s Westview Funeral & Cremation Care Center. Reverend Darrel Bergelin will officiate. Friends may call at Westview on Friday from 11:00 am until the time of the service.

Interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Adela H. Damrow. The family would like to thank Sheboygan Progressive Care Center, Sheboygan Aurora Hospice, and her good friends at Vince Lombardi Cancer Center for the wonderful care she received.
