Obituary for Mr. Adrian James Ford Remembering Our Beloved Adrian James Ford Sr. Adrian was 37 years of age when his gentle soul left his earthly body on November 4, 2018. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA.

He was born on May 18, 1981 in Bunkie, Louisiana to Velma J. Ford and Jules Andrus Sr. Adrian accepted Christ as his personal Savior at a young age. Later in adulthood, Adrian continued a personal spiritual relationship with the creator. Adrian was affectionately known to family and friends as “Jamie or AD”.

Adrian graduated from North Central High School in LeBeau, Louisiana. He was a proud NCHS Hurricane and was an All Star, triple-threat athlete dominating the sports of basketball, football and track, earning multiple team and individual honors, awards and recognition from more than 19 universities across the country. Adrian loved life, loved to laugh and loved to listen to the music and loved spending time with his family and friends.

Adrian was not with us as long as we would have liked but he touched so many deeply. He loved hard, had a winning smile and a great sense of humor. Adrian departed this life much too soon but leaves to cherish his memories his parents Velma Ford of LeBeau, his father Jules Andrus Sr. his sisters Gwendolyn Brady of Napa, California, Juliette Andrus of Opelousas, Louisiana, Cynthia Andrus and Shevon Andrus all of Louisiana, his brother’s, Christopher Love of Dallas, Texas, Ryan Ford, Jules Andrus Jr., Ray Andrus, Quinton Andrus, Calvin Andrus and Shevon Andrus and a God brother, Cedric Chambers.

Adrian’s name and legacy will be lovingly carried on by his only child Adrian Ford Jr. Adrian Jr.’s mother, Jessica Smith has and always will be a part of this family and continues to do an amazing job raising Adrian Jr She will ensure that her son knows the kind & generous heart that beat within his father’s chest. A host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and an entire community will remember what a kind and gentle soul you were.
