Agnes “Aggie” Margaret Lamb December 22, 1932 – December 26, 2018 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook Agnes M. “Aggie” Lamb, of Charlottesville, Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in Charlottesville. Born on December 22, 1932 in Oriskany Falls, New York, the daughter of the late William C. Waterman and Catherine L. O’Brien Waterman. She was also predeceased by her brothers William Waterman and Thomas Clayton Waterman.

Aggie graduated from Waterville Central School, Waterville, NY and from St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. She also attended Utica College of Technology and later received a Master’s Degree in Nursing from Syracuse University. She was a registered nurse on active duty for 43 years in the state of New York, starting as a labor and delivery nurse, later teaching nursing at BOCES and then finishing her nursing career in the New York prison system.

Aggie loved nursing. She moved to Lake Monticello in 1996. Aggie loved the ocean, going out on her boat, knitting, crocheting, and quilting.

An avid sports fan, she enjoyed following UVA football and basketball; she also loved golf and tennis. Survivors include her five children, Monica Casella, Michael Lamb, Mary T. Russell and husband Jim Bingler, Diane Daycock and husband Steven, and Scott Lamb; ten grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joan Hunt. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2018 in the Hill and Wood Chapel.

Her family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will be private in New York at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 300 9th St SW, Charlottesville, VA 22903.
