Alan M. White, age 63, passed away at the Bland Bekkedal Center for Hospice care on Thursday, July 19th, 2018 surrounded by his brothers and mother. He was born in Viroqua, WI on May 23rd, 1955 to Jacob and Lorraine (Hunter) White. Al attended school in Viola, WI before join the US Army in 1972.

He served 4 years stationed at Fort Riley Kanas and Mannheim Germany. Al married Ursula “Ushi” Stang in 1977. They were blessed with a son, Paul.

They later separated. Al spent several years in Lansing MI and Ormand Beach before moving back to Viola in 2008. He had worked for the last 10 years at Rockwell Automation in Richland Center.

Al is survived by his son Paul (Jasmin) White of Lorsch, Germany; grandson John White; His mother Lorraine White of Viola; Brothers Dan (Nancy) White of St. Paul MN, Larry (Judy) White of Middleton, and Monte (Nancy) White of La Crosse. He is also survived by many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Jacob White and Nephew, Kyle White.

He was also preceded by other family and friends. A Celebration of Al’s Life will be held at 6 p.m., Friday July 27th, 2018 at the Thorson Funeral Home of Viroqua. Family and friends may call from 4 p.m. until the time of the service.

A luncheon will be served following the service. Burial will take place at a later date in the Viroqua Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials to the Bland Bekkedal Center for Hospice Care.
