Obituary of Alan Cooper Alan L. Cooper, 87, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Hudson Valley Rehab. Born in Brooklyn, NY on September 28, 1930 he was the son of the late Murray and the late Hilda Feiring Cooper. In the late ’70’s he moved to Missouri for 15 years, then returned to the area to be with family.

Alan had worked as an accountant for Gray Bar Electric in St. Louis. He was a friendly visitor with Jewish Family Services and was a volunteer with the Jewish Federation. Alan was an avid reader and loved crossword puzzles and spending time with his family.

Alan is survived by his children; Susan (Michael) Slutsky of Tarrytown, NY, Stacey (Michael) Lia of Marlboro, NY and Alan (Kimberly) Cooper, Jr. of St. Louis. Also surviving are his 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and his brother Fred Cooper of St. Petersburg, FL. In addition to his parents, Alan was predeceased by his sister Sherri Speigel.

The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 11:00am at the Timothy P. Doyle Funeral Home, 371 Hooker Ave. , Poughkeepsie, NY 12603. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Newburgh, NY.
