Obituary for Albert Jessie Whitener Print Mr. Albert Jessie Whitener, 68, of White died on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Cartersville on August 21, 1950 he was the son of the late Willie J. Whitener and the late Nellie Ray Whitener. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Ann Whitener.

Albert was a simple man who worked for C.W. Matthews as an equipment operator. He was a loving and caring father who would provide a place to stay for anyone who was in need. Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Guthas (David); his son, Dustin Whitener; his grandson, Cody Bearden (Mandi), his great-grandson, Beaux Bearden; his siblings, Mildred Darnell, Pat Elrod (Donnie), and Linda Sipple; and special friends, Gracie Mahan, and Jason Childers.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2019 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Mr. Bo Blalock officiating. Interment will follow in Kingston Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Bearden, BJ Bearden, Lanny West, David Ray, Glen Pope, and Liz Howard.
