Albertina “Tina” McCray Greene was born on July 13, 1970 to the late Mr. John D Wilsher and devoted Ms. Geraldine McCray in Ashford, AL. She was the youngest of three devoted siblings: Betty McCray, Betty Jo Jackson, and Sandra Wilsher. Tina attended Ashford Elementary and High School in Ashford, AL.
As a child, she was very energetic and enjoyed the outdoors. Different from her sisters, she was thrilled by climbing and jumping out of trees. She also adored fishing with family at creeks and ponds near their home.
After graduating high school, she enlisted in the United States Navy in September of 1992 and worked as a Yeoman where she served by performing administrative and clerical work in Cuba, Maryland, Italy, California, United Kingdom, and Washington until Honorably Discharged in 2008. In 2005, she met the love of her life, Quelminio LeAlfred Greene. They were blessed with a daughter, Keera Greene, in 2013.
The two of them spent 13 years together. In 2015, Tina joined True Life Christian Church in Okinawa where she gave her life to Christ. While a member, she worked in day care at church providing “unconditional love” to kids where needs were met spiritually, emotionally, physically, and academically.
She helped raise lots of money during food sales within the Ministry which went towards fun activities and supplies for the children. In 2017, she joined Unity of Faith Christian Center in Jacksonville, North Carolina where she was baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. While a member, she faithfully served as secretary providing a wide range of support to the pastor and his staff.
Tina’s infectious smile and loving heart made everyone that she encountered take a liking to her. She would always greet people with a big hug before engaging in conversation. She was always opened to hear the testimony from others and give her own praise report.
No matter the circumstances, she was grateful for everything and faithful in carrying out the will of God. Tina was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and for the last 18 months she fought the good fight and continued to serve her ministry. Her kind nature allowed her to help those in need and give wisdom on living a Godly life, even when she was not feeling her best.
On September 27, 2018, Tina entered into eternal rest at her residence. She leaves to cherish loving memories: devoted husband: Mr. Quelminio Greene; devoted daughter: Keera Greene; mother: Geraldine McCray; mother in law: Alfreda Greene; three brother in laws: Stanley Jackson (Betty Jo Jackson), Darrius Peace (Meagan Peace), and KenJuan Greene (Bianca Greene); sister in law: Brittany Greene; eleven nephews; and nine nieces, close friend: Barbara Hilliard, and a host of other family and friends.
