ALESA KAY WILLIAMS JONES Alesa Kay Williams Jones, our beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend of many, departed this life on December 9, 2018 in Kansas City, Missouri. Alesa was born on October 27, 1962 in Kansas City, Kansas, to George and Lula Mae Williams. She was preceded in death by her mother Lula Mae Williams and brother Lionel Williams.

She attended Francis Willard Elementary and Paseo High School. Alesa accepted Jesus Christ at an early age and was Baptized at Swope Parkway Church of Christ in Kansas City. Alesa was united in holy matrimony to LeAndrew F. Jones on February 14, 1982.

She worked for various companies in Kansas City, but she mostly excelled at being an entrepreneur. She was gifted with multiple talents such as making baskets, having garage sales, and interior decorating. She loved sewing and she was very creative.

Alesa was a very caring and outspoken woman. She was also willing to lend a hand to anyone. Her greatest joy’s in life were her husband, children and grandchildren to whom she loved unconditionally.

In 2007, her health began to fail. This giant of a woman stayed strong while enduring several health issues. Throughout it all, she remained positive and continued to put up a good fight.

Her husband carried the weight on his shoulders and remained by her side and he continuously, cared for her until she was called home by the Lord. “Sleep on Blessed wife, mother, and grandmother and rest assured of a job well done”. Alesa Kay Williams Jones leaves to deeply mourn her passing a loving, and devoted husband of 38 years, LaAndrew F. Jones, their daughters LaTia Sharae Jones, (James L. Whitney), LaShaun Andrea Roberts, (Tony R Roberts); son Le Andrew F. Jones II, (Teon R. Cokes); grandchildren, Jaylah LuMae Whitney, Talia Sharae Whitney, Aubrey Elyse Whitney, Kennedy Lynn Whitney, Leona Raquel Jones, Amya R. Cokes and Andre R. Cokes.

Father George Williams Sr; brothers George Williams Jr; sisters Renita Williams, Cynthia Ginn (Rick), Larynthia Williams, Sheryl Williams; nieces Tiwanna Williams, Marlo Strickland (Tony), Latrice Williams, Tiffany Williams; nephews, Sean Lamar Anderson, Brian Anderson (Joy) Williams, Lionel Williams, Jr; aunt Norma J.Bufox; uncle Curtis Williams, Sr; brother and sister-in-law’s: Lawrence A. Jones Jr., LeLand C. Jones Sr., Bishop Lindsay E. Jones (Santa), Loren G. Jones Sr., Lance H. Jones, Carolyn A. Armstrong and Joyce C. Jacques. She also leaves a vast host of other nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00(noon) Monday, December 17, 2018 at Watkins Heritage Chapel.

Visitation 9:00 A.M. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery.
