LEWIS SMITH JR. Lewis Smith Jr. AKA, “K.O.B.L”. was born in Riddel, Arkansas on Saturday, November 21, 1942 to Louis Smith Sr. and Gary Anna Bowmen Smith.

He was the first child born to this union. They moved to Kansas City when he was one years old. On January 16, 1966 he married his first love Ardella Topps.

Out of that marriage he had one son. Lewis was a very good father; he loved taking trips out of town. His favorite place to go was to the race track and talking “smack” to his brother’s cousins about sports.

He was very overly-protective about his house and cars and was very tight with his money. Lewis worked at Bayer chemical Company for 22 years and retired when he was 58 years of age. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Freddie and Eric McCowon of Encino California; four grandsons A. Demarco Word, Lewis Lamonte Smith II.

, Martae Smith and Abreon R. Martin. On December 1, 2018, Lewis went to be with his Lord and Savior. He leaves to cherish his memories five kids, Laurie Ann Hunter, Lewis Lamonte Smith (Lawonda) Victor Lewis Martin, Amorita Martin and Tamara Roshaw Martin.

Eighteen grandkids, eleven great-great grandkids; one sister Bobbie Frierson; three brothers Donnell Smith (Joe Ann) Clyde Smith and Glenn Smith (Mae) and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church 2200 Olive Street KCMO.

Visitation 9:00 A.M. Interment Twelve Gates Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
