Obituary for Sally Elaine Slabotsky Sally Elaine Slabotsky, born February 20, 1920, died on December 5, 2018. She was the devoted wife of Gordon Slabotsky and they recently celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary. She was an icon in the Jewish Community, having served on many boards and organizations, but was most proud of her presidency of the Jewish Community Center where she was an active member and ambassador for most of her life.

She was a bridge Life Master, avid tennis player and legendary chef, having created award winning recipes. In addition to her husband, the loves of her life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She dedicated herself to making each one feel loved and special.

Family members include: her husband Gordon; daughter Leslie (Peter) Dunn; sons Scott (Denise) Slabotsky and Larry (Susan) Slabotsky; grandchildren Seth (Johanna) Cohen, Aaron (Emily) Dunn, Sarah (Bradly) Dunn Ross, Daniel Slabotsky, Noah (Rachel) Slabotsky, Zachary Slabotsky, Ariel (fiancé Nathan Cooper), Anne Slabotsky, and great-grandchildren Maya and Dylan Cohen and Eli Dunn. She is also survived by former daughter-in-law Kay Grossman and many loving friends and caregivers. The funeral will be held at the White Theater at the Jewish Community Center, 5801 W 115th St, Overland Park, KS 66211 on Sunday at 1:00pm.
