OBITUARY Josephine Lantz July 11, 1933 – December 5, 2018 Josephine Lantz, 85, passed away December 5, 2018. Visitation and Rosary will be held Saturday, December 8, at 10:00 a.m. at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3864 W. 75th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208.

Josephine was born July 11, 1933 in Kansas City, KS, to Ignacio and Angela Fernandez. She graduated from Redemptorist High School , Kansas City, MO. She married Frank I. Lantz on September 24, 1955.

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister Irene Thorn. Survivors include two children, Randolph (Karen) Lantz and Terri (Glenn) Jordan; four grandchildren, Matthew Lantz, Derek Jordan, Nikole Jordan and Ashley Jordan; and her sister Angela Saward. Josephine will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She was a quiet, kind and loving soul who enjoyed listening to music, playing the piano, reading, traveling and caring for her family. In her final years, Josephine was well known at Sunrise Senior Living (Leawood, KS) for her beautiful vibrato voice singing Spanish music.
