Obituary for Alexa M Lawrence Print Alexa Mckenzie Lawrence died Saturday January 26, 2019 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Manhattan, NY as a result of complications related to Loeys Dietz Syndrome. She just celebrated her 14th birthday. Alexa was welcomed into this world on January 5, 2005 by Mom, Susan (Zegar), dad Christopher Lawrence and sister Casadi and later celebrated brother Reid.
She was a student at Warren Middle School Warren, NJ where she was in the 8th grade. Although Lexi had LDS, it did not define her. She was both fiercely competitive and fiercely devoted to her family and friends.
She pushed to experience all that life offered and did so with sparkle and pizazz. She not only lit up a room but took charge from the moment she entered. Alexa achieved her Black Belt in Taekwondo, was a fabulous artist creating beautiful drawings and sketches, was a talented actor and singer, and had a great sense of humor.
Alexa is survived by her parents Susan and Christopher Lawrence, her sister Casadi and her brother Reid. She is also survived by her grandparents Kenneth and Jeanetta Lawrence, her many uncles, aunts and cousins (The Arakelian’s, The Hibbs, Campbell’s and Zegar) and a world of friends. Visitation will be Thursday January 31, 2019 from 5 – 9 PM at the Valley Memorial Funeral Home 1012 Valley Rd.
, Gillette, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday February 1, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Martinsville, NJ. Disposition will be private.
