Alice A. Graban (Nee, Dubiel) Hammond Alice Graban, age 88, of Hammond passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 15, 2018. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Gene Graban; two sons: Brian and Garry Graban; grandson, Michael Graban; sister-in-law, Carol Dykiel; nieces: Lori (Mac) Sakal, Kathy (Jim) Murchek, Nancy (Bob) Kintner; nephews: Victor (Joan) Dykiel, Tom (Therese) Dykiel; Numerous great nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Josephine Dubiel; sisters: Sophia (late Len) Connor and Michalene Dubiel; brothers: Stanley, Ollie (late Doris) and Paul Dubiel.

Alice was born and raised in East Chicago and was a 1948 graduate of Roosevelt High School. She worked at Miner-Dunn Catering in East Chicago until she began her family. She was a longtime faithful member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish and a member of the CFU Lodge #170.

Alice enjoyed cooking, baking, playing cards, working crossword puzzles and watching Indiana University Basketball games. Alice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend who will be dearly missed by all who were blessed to know her. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. with a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 7132 Arizona Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) with Father Charles Mosley celebrant.
