Christian “Chris” Edward Lannin Hammond Chris Lannin, age 63, of Hammond, passed away much to soon on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. He is survived by two children: Stacy Lannin and Shawn Lannin; ex-wife and special friend, Laurie Lannin; six siblings: Carol (Dave) Moore, Connie Lannin, Craige (Jay) Lannin, Charice (Randy) Salach, Cary (Christine) Lannin and Cathy (Doug) Main; numerous nieces, including special niece Jill Mirise, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends and his dog Suzie. Chris was preceded in death by his parents, William and Judy Lannin and many good friends.

Chris was born and raised in Hammond and was a lifetime resident. He is a 1972 graduate of Morton High School. He is known for his work in sports radio broadcasting locally.

Chris coached and played baseball for Hessville little league and was also involved with the Hessville Hoops. He inherited the title of “unofficial mayor of Hammond” from his father Bill. Chris was a loving and devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Bocken Funeral Home with father Steve Kosinski officiating followed by burial. Friends are invited to meet with the family for visitation on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). In lieu of flowers memorials to the family would be appreciated.
