Patricia Ruth Kositzke (Nee Wilson) East Chicago/Alsip, IL Patricia “Patty” Ruth Kositzke, age 91, of East Chicago, passed away after a long illness on Sunday, September 9, 2018. She is survived by her loving daughter, Debra Hayes; granddaughter, Shannon Hayes; numerous nieces, nephews and friends including her close friend Nancy Sytsma. Patty was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, James Kositzke; 3 babies: Michael, Linda and Donna Kositzke; 3 siblings: James, Pauline and Sam Wilson; parents, Walter and Pearl Wilson.

Patty was a resident of East Chicago for the past 20 years, before that she lived in Alsip and Worth, IL and Bark River Michigan. She came to know the Lord at Worth Church of the Nazarene and served there as a Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible school volunteer. Patty enjoyed doing cross word puzzles and playing board games.

She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and friend who will be dearly missed. Friends are invited to meet with the family for a time of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Friday September 14, 2018 at Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville). Funeral service will take place at 12 noon followed by a graveside service at Chapel Hill Garden South Cemetery 11333 S.
