John R. Hrycak Hammond John R. Hrycak, age 75, of Crown Point, passed away on Sunday, September 16, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Joyce J. Hrycak (Nee Backus); two children: Twila Hobson and Gerald Fulkerson; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Janet (Bob) Shelton numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, friends. Preceded in death by parents; John and Helen Hrycak.

John was born in East Chicago and was raised in Calumet City, IL. He was retired from LTV steel as a pipefitter. John enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and water sports.

He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be dearly missed. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. directly at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 8178 Cline Avenue, Schererville, 46307. Bocken Funeral Home, 7042 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond (Hessville) entrusted with arrangements.
