OBITUARY Alice Denise KAY September 1, 1954 – December 19, 2018 Alice Robinson Kay, 64, a loving wife, sister, aunt, great aunt, and friend died Wednesday December 19, 2018. Born September 1, 1954 in Natchez, MS, Alice is preceded in death by her parents Wallace and Sadie Robinson, and her husband of 26 years, Bob Kay. She is survived by her sisters Trisha Robinson, Beth Hennessey (Dan), and Mary Miller, nieces Courtney McKnight and Mary Alice Lundy, nephews Daniel Hennessey, Luke Miller, Jason Hennessey and Michael Hennessey, and several great nieces and nephews.

A graduate of Bishop Toolen High School and University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL, Alice worked her entire professional career as a dedicated accountant for International Paper Company in Mobile, Charlotte, NC and Memphis, TN. While she has been unable to work for many years, she remained in close contact with many of her former colleagues. Alice’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family and many dear friends.

Her life exemplified the phrase “it is in giving that we receive”. She would often sign greeting cards and text messages with “Love, Hugs, and Prayers (LHP)” to let each and every person know what a blessing they were in her life. Please join us in celebrating her life with a Mass of Christian Burial at Little Flower Catholic Church (2053 Government St, Mobile, AL) on Thursday Dec 27, 2018 at 12 noon.

Visitation will be held from 10-12 at the same location. Additionally, a separate memorial service will be held at a later date in Memphis, TN where she has lived for the last 20+ years. Memorials may be made to Baptist Reynolds Hospice House (Collierville, TN), Little Flower Catholic Church (Mobile, AL), or the charity of your choice.

The family wishes to thank the health care professionals who have taken such good care of Alice throughout her disability, particularly the staff at Stellar, Baptist Hospice House, and the countless doctors and nurses who have cared for her. The family is eternally indebted to Dawnell, Jayne, Jay, Diane, Sonia, Janet, Nadine and so many others for their friendship, care, and assistance lovingly given to Alice.
