Obituary for Alice Marie Clough Alice Marie Blanchfield Clough of Marydel, MD, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Chestertown. She was 77. She was born on January 16, 1941 in Townsend, DE, and was one of sixteen children of the late Elmer and Nina Willey Blanchfield.

She attended school through 7th grade in Townsend. At age 16, she met George Wesley Clough, whom became her husband one month later. He predeceased her in 2016.

Mrs. Clough was a stay at home mother and was always dedicated to her children. She enjoyed canning out of her and her husband’s vegetable garden and was an excellent cook. Mrs. Clough always had a good heart – she was simple, old-fashioned and would help anyone.

She is survived by a daughter, Debra Clough of Marydel, MD; two sons, Andrew Wesley Clough of Goldsboro, MD, and Randy Lacey Clough of Sudlersville, MD; and two grandchildren, Joshua Foster Stevens of Newton, Iowa, and Vanessa Leach of Greensboro, MD. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home 106 W. Sunset Ave. Greensboro, MD, where relatives and friends may call on hour prior (10-11am).

Interment will be in Templeville cemetery, following the service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www. fleegleandhelfenbein.com.
