Obituary for Mrs. Alice McGowan Beasley Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church in Harvey, LA, 817 Grefer Avenue for Mrs. Alice McGowan Beasley, 69, who transitioned to Glory on Monday, May 28, 2018 at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment will take place at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev.

Keith P. Stewman, Pastor of Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church will officiate the Celebration of Life. Alice leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her legacy, sons, Ernest Nettles, Jr. (Raquel) of New Orleans, LA, Michael Nettles, Sr. (Angie) of Charlotte, North Carolina; daughter Jacquelyn Nettles of Opelousas, LA, brother David McGowan of New Orleans, LA, and (12) grandchildren and (3) great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and special friends. Alice was a faithful member of Our Saviors Church, Opelousas, LA, Pastor Eugene Reiszner.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Sonny and Beulah Carter McGowan, one grandson Jaquan Nettles, two brothers, Albert Miller and Bruce McGowan. The family request visiting hours be observed on Friday, June 1, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Williams Funeral Home of Opelousas, LA, 817 E. South Street. The visitation will continue on Saturday, June 2, 2018 from 8 A.M. to 10 A.M. at Evening Star Missionary Baptist Church, 817 Grefer Ave.
