Obituary for Alois J. Tremmel Alois Joseph Tremmel SUN CITY, ARIZONA – Alois Joseph Tremmel, 95, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 in Sun City Arizona. He was born in Racine on May 23, 1922, the son of Friedrich and Mary (nee: Jensen) Tremmel. Alois proudly served in the United States Army during WWII.

He was a surgical Tech, serving in Europe, including Germany, France, and England. He was honorably discharged as a sergeant in January of 1946. On August 9, 1941 he was united in marriage to Jean Marie Engstrom at St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church.

Alois was a supervisor at Walker Manufacturing for 35 years, retiring in 1978. Deciding he was too young to retire, he worked as a supervisor at Jacobsen Manufacturing from 1978 to 1985. Alois was a former member of St. John Nepomuk Catholic Church.

Surviving are two sons, Chuck, and Tim Tremmel, both of Racine; four grandchildren, Becky, Heidi, Jeff, and Chuck. He is further survived by great grandchildren, lifelong friend, Dolly Seifer, other relatives and friends. Alois was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Marie on August 24, 2008, granddaughter, Christina Tremmel-Pruneda, sister, Ottilia Whitson; and two brothers, Francis and George Tremmel.

Funeral services will be held at Sturino Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 12 noon. Visitation will take place at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Alois will be laid to rest at West Lawn Memorial Park.
