Obituary for Alpha “Moe” Claunch Alpha “Moe” Maurice Claunch, 85, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 1, 2018. Maurice, Moe, was born on October 27, 1932 in Cincinnati, Ohio. His work career began in Cincinnati where he worked in a supervisory position for MacGregor Golf.
He later moved to Georgia where he worked for Firestone in the Manufacturing division. Moe was a master of trades; once owning a gas station, The Sandpiper restaurant on Main street, and working with his sons at All Pro Door and Trim. He enjoyed spending time his family, playing golf and dancing at the Elks and Eagles Clubs.
He is survived by his wife, Ingrid; sons, Terry (Monica) and Rusty; stepdaughter, Melissa (David); stepsons, Ricky and Brad (Vickie); Grandchildren, Carla (Joshua), Darren, Jenna (Stephen), Korey (Stephen). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at Port Orange United Church of Christ, 651 Taylor Road with Rev. Glenn Rice, pastor officiating.
