Alvin Leo Paul, 71, of Newburgh, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 surrounded by family at the home of his daughter in Hendersonville, TN. Alvin was born June 5, 1947 in Evansville to the late Leo “Simon” and Evelyn (Seibert) Paul. He enjoyed great success as a land surveyor.

He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan; drag car racer in his youth and a fan of Ford Mustangs. He was a huge part of his immediate and extended family and many times traveled to attend graduations, sporting events, and parties for family members. Alvin is survived by his wife of 50 years, Janet (Goff) Paul of Newburgh; a daughter, Trina Paul Reed of Hendersonville, TN; son, Michael Paul of Newburgh; sisters, Doris (Homer) Taylor of Evansville; Diana (Tim) Bates and Brenda Wolfgang, both of Hendersonville, TN; sister-in-law, Karen Paul of Ft.

Branch; grandchildren, Nick, Erik, Rachel, Alec, Vincent, Frances, Alexzander, Jacob, Jordan, Caty and Christian; five great grandchildren and a former son-in-law, Stephen Reed and a good friend, Jessie Burnett. In addition to his parents, Alvin was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Paul in 2004 and Mark Paul in 1981 and by a brother-in-law, Michael Wolfgang in 2008. Funeral services for Alvin will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Pierre Funeral Home, Rev.

Mike Neikirk officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 until 7:00 PM on Monday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street.
