Blaine W. Laufer, 54, of Evansville, IN passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at his home. He was born October 14, 1964 to Bradley W. Laufer and Mariana Mudd in Louisville, KY. Blaine graduated from Central High School in 1982.

He worked for many years in the restaurant industry including Darrell’s, Smokey Bones, Olive Garden and most recently Biaggi’s. Blaine was an avid horse racing fan and regularly attended the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby. His children were the delight of his life.

He shared his passion for music with his son Soren and they enjoyed traveling to rock and roll shows together. Blaine is survived by his two sons, Soren and Sterling; mother, Mariana Mudd; siblings, twin brother, Bruce (Kris) of Evansville, Bradley of Louisville, KY, Brett of Evansville, Brian (Joni) of Ft. Worth, TX and Michelle (Perry) Hudson of Washington, IN; partner, Elizabeth Strader and her daughter, Kennedy; nieces and nephews, Nick (Karen), Anthony, Ben, Alex, Elizabeth, Carly, Beau and Olivia.

Blaine was preceded in death by his father, Bradley and grandparents. Visitation will be Sunday, March 31 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave. Visitation will continue Monday, April 1 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.

Funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Father Eugene Schroeder officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Sterling Laufer trust fund in care of Old National Bank.
